Kinsey 1 Year | Denver Family Photographer

I love repeat clients (who doesn't?!), and I met this family when I documented Kinsey's 6 month session. It was a chilly morning last round so I'm glad we got some warmer, spring-like temperatures for her 1 year session. The cherry blossoms came and went way too fast this year but I'm so happy we got some blooms at the location we were at.  Kinsey had a blast toddling around the property - it was her first time walking in dirt, grass, and her new shoes - she did great! Happy first birthday, Kinsey!

Henry 9 Months | Denver Baby Photographer

Here's another family I've had the honor of documenting every few months for a year now. I really need to go back and blog their past sessions because you can clearly see they have every season in their pictures - yes, even spring from their maternity session last year! We waited for a big March snowstorm in Denver but Mother Nature never ended up delivering so we headed up to the high country for some fun in the snow in early April. Henry was a trooper at high altitude - his parents had already took him on a hut trip this past winter! I know most families with little ones are not up for braving the cold so it was a refreshing change of scenery. I really love how this snowy session turned out!

Audrey 18 Months | Denver Family Photographer

I've had the privilege of documenting Audrey since she was 6 months old. I really need to go back and share this family's previous sessions, because it's truly been amazing watching how Audrey grows and changes. All you parents know that this time when they're little goes way too fast! We had pretty much checked off most of the typical location settings, so we changed things up by visiting a coffee shop for part of our time together. It was perfect for this age when these little people are BUSY. Grandma also joined so it was great to include her as well! I really love how this documentary style session turned out!

Hana 100 Days | Denver Baby Photographer

A huge milestone in Korean culture is a baby's 100th day after birth. Back in the day, many babies did not survive the first few months, so Koreans celebrated when everyone made it through the difficult period. Red bean rice cakes and food are offered to a god named Samshin for "protecting" the mother and baby. Today, Koreans continue to celebrate a baby's 100th day with rice cakes (and western cakes too!).

I loved having the opportunity to photograph Hana and her family on her 100th day! The cultural traditions are always so very special. Thanks to this family for letting me document Hana's first big milestone!

Brooklyn 9 Months | Denver Baby Photographer

I can't believe it's already been 9 months since I last photographed this family and little miss Brooklyn! She is one of the happiest babies I've ever photographed, AND she was sick with a double ear infection and functioning on only one nap! It's been incredibly warm in Colorado, and I'm glad we were able to take advantage of the Spring-like weather in what's usually the "snowiest month". I can't wait for her her one year!

Madeline 8 Months | Denver Baby Photographer

This time of year is always tough to meet outdoors for family sessions. Babies and snow are not always the best combination but I'm always excited when a family is up for doing them in the middle of winter! The snow makes everything prettier in my opinion :) Madeline was such a trooper since the day hadn't quite warmed up yet. Most of the Denver metro area has been experiencing spring-like weather (until today) so I'm not sure even sure the snow is still around where we did our session. I'm glad I got to capture some snowy memories for this family while it lasted!

Baby Theo | Denver Newborn Photographer

I loved how this session turned out mostly because big brother was giving me all sorts of good material to share! If he wasn't giving kisses, he was doing what most toddlers do best  - all you parents out there know what that means :) But it still makes for the most adorable outtakes pictures and let's face it, it's reality! Baby Theo was happiest in his parents arms and went right back to sleep whenever he was being held. Welcome to the world Theo!

Baby Alder | Denver Newborn Photographer

I had the privilege of photographing this family for the arrival of their second baby boy Alder. How awesome is his name? I've known this mama since high school and lost touch over the years but reconnected after running into each other with our then infants (now crazy toddlers) at Wash Park. Alder was the sleepiest little guy I've had to date, and he made my job so easy. I'm excited to see her boys grow!
