Henry 9 Months | Denver Baby Photographer

Here's another family I've had the honor of documenting every few months for a year now. I really need to go back and blog their past sessions because you can clearly see they have every season in their pictures - yes, even spring from their maternity session last year! We waited for a big March snowstorm in Denver but Mother Nature never ended up delivering so we headed up to the high country for some fun in the snow in early April. Henry was a trooper at high altitude - his parents had already took him on a hut trip this past winter! I know most families with little ones are not up for braving the cold so it was a refreshing change of scenery. I really love how this snowy session turned out!

Hana 100 Days | Denver Baby Photographer

A huge milestone in Korean culture is a baby's 100th day after birth. Back in the day, many babies did not survive the first few months, so Koreans celebrated when everyone made it through the difficult period. Red bean rice cakes and food are offered to a god named Samshin for "protecting" the mother and baby. Today, Koreans continue to celebrate a baby's 100th day with rice cakes (and western cakes too!).

I loved having the opportunity to photograph Hana and her family on her 100th day! The cultural traditions are always so very special. Thanks to this family for letting me document Hana's first big milestone!

Brooklyn 9 Months | Denver Baby Photographer

I can't believe it's already been 9 months since I last photographed this family and little miss Brooklyn! She is one of the happiest babies I've ever photographed, AND she was sick with a double ear infection and functioning on only one nap! It's been incredibly warm in Colorado, and I'm glad we were able to take advantage of the Spring-like weather in what's usually the "snowiest month". I can't wait for her her one year!

Madeline 8 Months | Denver Baby Photographer

This time of year is always tough to meet outdoors for family sessions. Babies and snow are not always the best combination but I'm always excited when a family is up for doing them in the middle of winter! The snow makes everything prettier in my opinion :) Madeline was such a trooper since the day hadn't quite warmed up yet. Most of the Denver metro area has been experiencing spring-like weather (until today) so I'm not sure even sure the snow is still around where we did our session. I'm glad I got to capture some snowy memories for this family while it lasted!
